Friendly English Language tutor
I'm a recent graduate with a degree in Mathematical Biology. I've had past experience in tutoring students in primary and high school, as well as being a classroom assistant in maths and general science throughout my time at high-school too.I went through the Scottish school system myself so know how the curriculum is taught, however I'm happy to tutor GCSE and A levels as well. I've also tutored students with ADHD and ASD, so I'm happy to do that too.I approach each topic by first discovering how the student effectively learns. Whether that's more visually or analytically, I would change my methods.I...

*I tutor for 30 minute and 45 minute lessons only (not 60 minutes). £23.50 for 30 minutes. £35.00 for 45 minutes. The platform takes a sizeable cut. Tutorful permits 30 and 45 minute lessons, but doesn't currently have an option to list rates for 30 and 45 minute lessons as the main rate. Therefore, I put these rates here.*-----------------------------------------------------------------------------I'm an experienced online English tutor with more than six years of tutoring/teaching experience.I teach English at KS3, GCSE and A. Ian S
Ian is a brilliant English tutor. He took the time to understand my son's struggles and difficulties and quickly got a feel for where he needed support. He has been fantastic in helping him work through these challenges, improve his English and prepare for his exams.
Ian gives a really helpful overview of each lesson, provides clear feedback and sets homework that is manageable and achievable. My son has additional needs, so finding someone who understands him and knows how to support him is really important to us. He genuinely enjoys his sessions with Ian, which says a lot, particularly as he has struggled with school and learning in the past.
Ian is always punctual, reliable and well prepared. I really appreciate everything you're doing to support my son, Ian. Thank you for your patience, understanding and encouragement. It really does make a difference!

Elandra G
I started taking tutoring lessons about a month or two before my a level, as I wanted to be able to gain insight of how to achieve a better grade when I had initially been panicking English was not my strongest subject.
Luckily, I was able to have my weekly lessons with Elandra, who patiently tutored me and catered towards my ability. Her experience with English as well as knowledge on what examiners are looking for allowed me to achieve a grade A in english language.
I highly recommend these lessons to anyone who is feeling nervous or unsure with how to boost their marks.
