We reached out to James on Tutorful after having received a recommendation from a friend of ours whose child had previously worked with James. We had initially only planned to book one lesson with James, as an assessment, to see where our daughter was with regard to preparing for her 11+ exams. Our daughter got on so well with James in the first lesson that we decided to continue working with James weekly thereafter.
We cannot thank James enough for all of the support he has given us throughout our time working with him. James always has a very positive demeanour when working with our daughter and makes every lesson fun and engaging. Our daughter took to him immediately and always looked forward to her lessons with him. James always gave us additional time at the end of every lesson to debrief us on how the lesson had gone, explain the homework, provide us with information about the plan for the following week’s lesson, and answer any questions that we had. He also gave us his number and kept in contact with us between classes.
We are very sorry to have to pause lessons for now, but plan to come back to James nearer the time of our daughter’s exams and also plan to employ James’s services again for our son in future. We cannot recommend James highly enough.
