Dynamic and Engaging Dyslexia Tutor with 5 years experience

Hi! I'm Matty,I am a recent graduate from the University of Nottingham. I have over 300 hours of tutoring experience from the last 5 years, both online and in person.I have only recently joined Tutorful! I believe the most important aspect of tutoring is reconnecting the student with the subject. I often find students can be a little uninspired by maths/english, so I try my best to show them a different side to what they might usually experience at school, with more engaging and fun lessons.I specialise in tutoring maths, and I am able to teach it at primary and secondary level. Most of my students...

`Teachers are the pillars of tomorrow`, the slogan says! From an early age, I felt passionate about spreading the knowledge to others. Once I entered university, studying Philosophy and Education, I felt that my instinct led me to the right direction. Since then, I started teaching in one-to-one basis linguistics, ancient & modern Greek , Latin, History and Ancient Drama. Gradually, I established my own, unique system of teaching, always adjusted to the student's needs and special traits. At the same time, I was meeting more and more students dealing with special learning difficulties and their...

Rachael D
Dyslexia tutor
Great tutor committed to my daughter and able to manage her complex needs using different techniques and humour. My daughter can be difficult to engage/encourage and has low self esteem, with Rachel's support she is learning and her confidence is growing and showing through already.

Dyslexia tutor
Erin is really enjoying her lessons with Kerry. They are in no way a chore and this is really unusual! Kerry is engaging, supportive and is really helping Erin with her confidence. Kerry is also very easy to talk to, relatable and makes the lessons fun.

Yasser A
Dyslexia tutor
Yasser is the best economics tutor I have ever found and wish I came across him sooner! I am dyslexic and found this subject really hard to understand. He quickly helped me understand the theories I needed to know and made me feel really comfortable in lessons. His lessons are well prepared and structured and you can certainly tell he is an experienced teacher. I had failed my first exam and couldn’t absorb the information but after seeing Yasser I was able to talk and write about key concepts confidently! I had so much doubt I wouldn’t be able to understand and now I actually like economics! I have done my retake and felt confident with all the questions presented to me and finished the exam in good time. I would highly recommend Yasser to anyone who needs support with economics and will be sure to spread the word! Yasser can’t thankyou enough!

Claudio S
Dyslexia tutor
Claudio makes lessons fun. Our seven year old struggles to complete work on his own, has working memory issues & dyslexia. Claudio has tailored an approach to build his confidence and now we are seeing real rewards. What started with simple memory games has progressed quite quickly onto the standard curriculum. Claudio always comes with a smile and changes the challenges into games that are completed with enthusiasm. We now look forward to the lesson each week.
