Salma A
I have been using Salma as an Arabic tutor for my daughter. The lessons have always run very smoothly. She is very punctual and organised. My daughter found her to be very gentle, engaging and funny which has helped her alot to enjoy the language and to want to learn and do her work.
As a parent, I found that I could communicate openly and honestly with Salma and she has always been very reassuring in her responses, explaining things very clearly.
Thank you Salma for a wonderful experience.

My child's school in Exeter doesn't offer Arabic. How can a tutor fill this gap?
This is a common concern for many parents. An online tutor provides a brilliant solution, giving your child access to expert one-to-one teaching that isn't available locally. They can learn from scratch or build on existing knowledge, ensuring they don't miss out on connecting with their heritage and language.
Can an Arabic tutor help strengthen my child's application to the University of Exeter?
Absolutely. Having a unique skill like Arabic can make a UCAS application stand out. A tutor can help your child work towards a qualification or simply develop a fluency that demonstrates commitment and a global perspective, which is highly valued by universities like the University of Exeter.
How do I choose the right Arabic tutor for my child?
It's all about finding the right fit. You can watch introductory videos, read reviews from other parents, and message tutors for free to discuss your child's needs. Finding someone your child connects with is the first step to building their confidence.
What if we don't click with the first tutor?
We know that the right student-tutor relationship is key. That's why we have our First Lesson Guarantee. If you don't get on with your first tutor for any reason, email our support team at support@tutorful.co.uk and we will cover your first session with a new tutor.
How can tutoring help my child feel more connected to their heritage?
A great tutor does more than teach grammar. They can bring the culture behind the language to life, sharing insights and creating a safe space for your child to explore their identity. This personal connection makes learning feel relevant and meaningful.
How much does online Arabic tutoring cost?
Our tutors set their own prices, which typically range from £20 to £40 per hour depending on their experience and qualifications. You can see each tutor's price clearly on their profile, so you can find an expert who fits your budget.
Are all the tutors background-checked?
Yes, your child's safety is our top priority. Every tutor on our platform has passed an ID check and has a valid DBS background check. We also interview every single tutor, and only 1 in 8 who apply are accepted to teach with us.
How do the online lessons work?
It's simple! All lessons take place in our purpose-built online classroom. It has a video chat function, an interactive whiteboard, and a space to share documents. It's a secure and engaging way for your child to learn from the comfort of home.
What if my child is a complete beginner?
That's no problem at all. Our tutors are experienced in teaching students of all levels. They can start with the very basics, like mastering the Arabic alphabet, and will go at a pace that is comfortable and encouraging for your child.
How do I know if my child is making progress?
Your tutor will provide regular feedback on your child's development. Because the lessons are one-to-one, the tutor gets a clear understanding of your child's strengths and the areas they need to work on, and can tailor their approach to ensure they're always moving forward.
How long are the sessions and how often should my child have them?
Most sessions are an hour long, and most students have one lesson per week. However, it's completely flexible. You can discuss what works best for your child and your family's schedule directly with your chosen tutor.
Are all the tutors background-checked?
We offer tutoring in over 300 subjects! While we cover all core academic subjects, we also have expert tutors who can teach hobbies and life skills, from playing the guitar and singing to coding and public speaking.
