We were very grateful that we found Darcy to help my daughter with her GCSE English studies, without doubt she helped raise her expected grade by two grades in just over 6 months, from Grade 3 to getting a good Grade 5 Pass with merit for English Language. Darcy always arrived promptly for the online tutorials and had prepared for the lesson. She is very personable, warm and friendly whilst remaining professional. She encouraged, cajoled, while providing structure and guidance (in particular showing a structured approach to answering exam questions). She was flexible to adjust to my daughter's needs, always attentive, showing genuine interest in my daughter's thoughts and opinions on reviewing say a passage of text. She remained very patient and praised every effort my daughter made. Darcy worked collaboratively, giving strong guidance but also held back to promote 'own-thinking' in my daughter. She also worked with an onscreen whiteboard, which could then be saved (was very helpful). She introduced new vocabulary and gave lots of tips of other resources. Darcy gave my daughter confidence in a subject which she was certainly lacking (not helped by my daughter missing quite a bit of school due to illness, plus x4 changes of her English school teacher during the GCSE study period). From my daughter: "Darcy is fun, wouldnt have passed without her, didn't feel pressured to get things right, didn't feel like a lesson, more of an enjoyable study session with a friend. Good at keeping me focused without being pushy." I can whole-heartedly recommend Darcy to anyone who wants to improve their English, and probably for any other skills that she possesses!

Monazzah is an excellent tutor. My son started lessons with Monazzah in September for his History A levels to improve his grade going into year 13. My son is enjoying the lessons and his confidence has grown immensly in answering the exam questions and structure after tutoring. His grade went up by 2 in a re-sit of his mocks. Monazzah is also very flexible if you need to reschedule for illness etc.

Jess is a wonderful and brightly enthusiastic tutor. She is currently helping my daughter to expand and develop skills of exploring alternative readings of a text, by doing close analysis of passages and language/structural features. Jess is extremely passionate about English and therefore she has a fantastic positive approach, allowing for an engaging and highly interactive session. Could not recommend her enough!
