Due to limited staff training, my daughter began falling behind in maths during Year 8. We knew she needed targeted, personalised support. Initially, I was hesitant about online tutoring,I wasn’t sure how my daughter would respond. But from the very first session, she connected with Joanna instantly. Joanna’s warmth, patience, and engaging teaching style made all the difference. I often find myself wishing she worked at my daughter’s school! After just three sessions, we began to see small but meaningful improvements in my daughter’s counting skills. Within a month, her school also noticed the progress. In fact, in just two months, she went from not being considered for Entry Level 1 (even by Year 11) to being put forward for Entry Level in Year 9, with the possibility of reaching Level 1 Maths by Year 11 if she continues on this path. It’s truly remarkable. Joanna is more than just kind and encouraging, she ensures that my daughter stays focused and truly understands what she’s learning. The sessions are one of highlights in my daughter’s week, and she absolutely loves them. We’ve recently started working on phonics as well, and I’m eager to see how things develop in this area. We used Shantelle for A-Level Sociology for my son at the end of year 12. He was having a bit of a wobble in respect of his confidence and his grasp of how to write the assessments. Shantelle was excellent and assessed him really well. I was impressed how much time she spent updating me on what they had covered and on my son's progress. She identified straight away what he needed to work on and was only too happy to help going through his assignments with him to point out what was good and where he could improve. I have found my lessons with Shahreen very helpful. They are detailed and precisely organised by her and catered to my requests for the things I struggle with in a level physics. She answers my questions with a lot of depth and patience as well. This has really improved my confidence with this subject especially as it is a very difficult science. I feel especially confident with the type of guidance she provides in and out of lessons about the more nuanced aspects of this level, such as exam technique and the CPAC criteria.
