My favourite components of AQA psychology to teach have to be social influence, psychopathology, the theoretical approaches and forensic psychology. In terms of sociology; research methods and crime and deviance. Amy W
Amy W is very concise and extremely helpful when getting complicated information wrapped around your head. She is super friendly and easy to talk to, which makes sessions comfortable and stress-free. The only hiccup is the wifi choosing to bug out, now and then. But, otherwise, Amy gives a very excellent tutoring experience.

Brilliant Psychology tutors who you’ll really click with.
Our experienced tutors take the time to understand where each student needs to focus and their preferred way of learning. They make a measurable difference – 90% of all students improve by at least one grade.
My child is at Morecambe Bay Academy and aiming for a competitive course at Lancaster University. Can a tutor really help with that specific goal?
Absolutely. Many of our Psychology tutors are experienced in helping students secure places at top universities. They can focus on developing the higher-level analytical and essay-writing skills that admissions tutors look for, ensuring your child's application is as strong as their final grades.
We're worried about the step-up to A-Level Psychology. How can online tutoring bridge that gap for a student in Morecambe?
That's a very common concern, and it's where one-to-one tutoring makes a huge difference. A tutor can pre-teach complex topics, consolidate classroom learning, and build a strong foundation right from the start. This prevents overwhelm and helps your child feel capable and in control of their studies.
Is online tutoring really as effective as having someone come to our home?
We believe it’s even more effective. Online tutoring gives your child access to a far wider pool of expert tutors from across the UK, not just those who live near Morecambe. With features like interactive whiteboards and session recordings, it provides a focused, convenient, and flexible learning environment where students thrive.
Are there tutors who understand the specific A-Level curriculum used in Lancashire schools?
Yes. Our tutors cover all major UK exam boards, including AQA, OCR, and Edexcel, which are commonly taught in schools across Lancashire. You can view each tutor's profile to see which exam boards they specialise in and find the perfect match for your child's course.
What if my child doesn't click with their first Psychology tutor?
Finding the right fit is the most important thing. We have a first lesson guarantee, so if you don't get on with your first tutor for any reason, just email our support team at support@tutorful.co.uk. We will happily cover the cost of your first session with a new tutor.
How do you check your tutors are qualified and safe to work with?
We take safety and quality very seriously. Every tutor is background-checked with an enhanced DBS check. We also interview every applicant and verify their ID and qualifications. We're very selective – only 1 in 8 tutors who apply make it onto our platform.
My other child isn't academic. Do you offer tutoring for skills like music or coding?
We do! We believe in learning for life, not just for exams. We have a huge range of tutors who teach everything from guitar and music production to coding, art, and public speaking. There's something for every interest.
How much does online Psychology tutoring cost?
Our tutors set their own rates, typically starting from around £25 per hour. Prices vary based on the tutor's experience and level of study. You can filter tutors by price on our website to find an expert who fits your family's budget.
How will I know if my child is making real progress?
Your tutor will provide regular feedback on your child's development. You'll be able to see their confidence grow as they start to tackle difficult topics and improve their grades. Open communication with the tutor is key, and they'll be happy to discuss progress with you.
How flexible are the lesson times?
Extremely flexible. That's one of the biggest benefits of online tutoring. You can arrange sessions for evenings, weekends, or whenever suits your family's busy schedule. You're not limited by travel time or local availability.
What technology do we need for an online lesson?
It's very simple. All your child needs is a laptop or computer with a webcam, a microphone, and a stable internet connection. Our online classroom is browser-based, so there's no complicated software to download.
My other child isn't academic. Do you offer tutoring for skills like music or coding?
You can use the search filters on our site to find tutors who specialise in A-Level Psychology and the right exam board. Watch their intro videos, read reviews from other parents, and send messages to a few to find the perfect personality match for your child.
