Amy W
Amy W is very concise and extremely helpful when getting complicated information wrapped around your head. She is super friendly and easy to talk to, which makes sessions comfortable and stress-free. The only hiccup is the wifi choosing to bug out, now and then. But, otherwise, Amy gives a very excellent tutoring experience.

Brilliant Psychology tutors who you’ll really click with.
Our experienced tutors take the time to understand where each student needs to focus and their preferred way of learning. They make a measurable difference – 90% of all students improve by at least one grade.
My child is at a large sixth form in Hull and feels a bit lost. How can a tutor help?
We hear this a lot. In a big class, it's hard to get individual attention. An online tutor provides a dedicated space for your child to ask questions, build confidence and focus on the specific topics or essay skills they're struggling with. It's the personalised support that can make all the difference.
Can a tutor help my child aim for the A/A* grades needed for competitive Psychology degrees?
Absolutely. Our tutors are experts in their subjects and know exactly what examiners are looking for. They can help your child with advanced essay techniques, critical analysis, and the deeper understanding required to hit those top marks and strengthen their university application.
Does it matter that the tutors aren't physically based in Hull?
It’s actually a huge advantage. Because our tutors are online, your child isn't limited to tutors in the local area. They can connect with A-Level Psychology specialists from across the UK, including university lecturers and experienced examiners, ensuring they get the best possible support.
Is online tutoring as effective as in-person for a subject like Psychology?
Yes, many find it even more effective. Tutors use interactive whiteboards to map out theories, share resources instantly, and work on essay drafts in real-time. It’s a focused, engaging, and highly effective way to learn, all from the comfort of your own home.
What happens if my child doesn't click with their first Psychology tutor?
Finding the right fit is so important. If it doesn't feel right for any reason, just email our friendly support team at support@tutorful.co.uk. We will happily cover the cost of your first session with a new tutor to ensure you find the perfect match.
How are your A-Level Psychology tutors vetted?
We're very selective and accept only 1 in 8 tutors who apply. Every tutor is background-checked, and we interview them to ensure they have proven teaching expertise and the passion to help students thrive. Many are examiners or have advanced degrees in their field.
My child also studies Sociology and Biology. Can you help with those too?
We can. We have expert tutors across more than 300 subjects, from core GCSE and A-Level topics to music, coding, and languages. You can find specialist tutors for each of your child's subjects right here on our platform.
How much do online Psychology lessons for students in Hull cost?
Our prices for one-to-one online tuition start from £20 per hour. Tutors set their own rates based on their experience and qualifications, so you can easily find a highly-rated, professional tutor that fits your budget.
How do we find the right tutor for our child?
It's simple. You can use our search filters to find tutors with specific experience, such as A-Level exam preparation. Read their profiles, watch their introduction videos, and check reviews from other parents. You can even message a few tutors for free before booking.
What technology do we need for an online session?
All you need is a laptop or computer with a webcam, a microphone, and a stable internet connection. Our online classroom is built into our website, so there's no complex software to download. It's designed to be simple and easy to use.
How many sessions will my child need to see progress?
This really varies from student to student. Some use us for a one-off boost before an exam, whilst others have regular weekly sessions to build understanding over time. The key is consistency, and you can discuss a plan directly with your chosen tutor.
My child also studies Sociology and Biology. Can you help with those too?
Yes, this is a key part of what our tutors do. They go beyond the subject content to teach your child how to revise effectively, manage their time in an exam, and structure their answers to gain the maximum number of marks.
