Shannon was my AQA A-Level Philosophy tutor and honestly, words cannot describe how wonderful and beneficial she was to my achievements within this subject! I was really struggling with philosophy and she helped me increase my grade significantly so I could secure a place in Durham University. She created these incredibly helpful PowerPoint presentations which simplified complex concepts into simple, coherent explanations. Also, she provided an amazing 25 marker essay structure and explained how each criteria within the mark scheme could be obtained. Shannon helped revitalise my love for philosophy, which had dwindled a due to exams and stress. I initially felt reluctant to share my opinions within my class because I felt my knowledge on philosophy was not strong enough, but, with Shannon, I felt comfortable and confident to share my opinions, question philosophers and deeply explore topics. Babrak is an excellent tutor who I would highly recommend to anyone. He has a fantastic ability to understand your current learning level and build from there. I am dyslexic, so I sometimes find it challenging to follow complicated philosophical arguments. However, Babrak has helped me understand these concepts better and given me the confidence to tackle complex philosophical arguments. He has also taught me critical thinking skills that have improved my grades. He is fantastic at breaking down essay questions and, most importantly, teaches you how to structure your thoughts and arguments academically. Also, he is a very kind, helpful, and patient person.
