Find an expert KS3 English tutor

After the first lesson my son announced “That was amazing Mum, you need to watch the video, he was SUCH a good teacher”. This couldn’t have been more different to previous feedback on our attempts to find an English tutor. I’m delighted that Jeremy is structured in his lessons, but also his tone is very friendly and fun! My 12 year old son has Tourettes and ADHD, and has been quite unwell. It’s also done wonders for my mental health knowing Jeremy is guiding my son through English, after seeing the videos I do not have this skill! 100% recommend him!

Lisa is an excellent tutor, patient, calm and most importantly extremely engaging. My children have seen a huge benefit from Lisa's coaching and guidance over the last few months. I couldn't recommend her highly enough!

My son Alexander is in year 9 and started working with Jessica in the summer. I just felt that he isn't really engaged with his English lessons in school, but the school never raised any concerns. His attitude and confidence is changing dramatically through the work with Jessica. Jessica is a fantastic tutor: experienced, calm, attentive and inspiring. Her lessons are well structured and interesting. Alexander will tell her what he finds difficult in school, and they will just work on it. He really likes her, and his effort & conduct are outstanding in his first school report. I am confident that English will be no problem going into the GCSE years.

John has recently commenced tutoring our English and Turkish bilingual son in preparation for the 10+ exams. While our son possesses exceptional verbal abilities, he struggles with ADHD and not much of a reader as the generation dictates. John has swiftly assumed the role of a guiding force, providing him with the appropriate content and strategic call-to-actions that effectively address his weaknesses and maintain his engagement and interest in online sessions, despite my son’s challenges with online learning. John’s teaching experience is exceptional, coupled with his excellent communication skills. He skillfully balances progress with homework, which has begun to yield positive results. Our son has much better understanding in inferences, is enthusiastic about composing free writing on his chosen themes, aiming to employ more comprehensive methods and incorporate enriched adverbs and adjectives. We anticipate that this effort and dedication will lead to his achieving his desired academic goals, while John will continue to excel in English language proficiency and future literary endeavors.

Colette teaches my son, who has ADHD, and her approach has made a real difference to his learning. She is both methodical and flexible, adapting her teaching style to meet his needs while ensuring the sessions remain structured and purposeful. Her lessons are engaging, meaningful, and delivered with patience and understanding, which has helped build his confidence as well as his skills. Colette takes the time to explain concepts clearly and uses strategies that keep him focused and motivated. Most importantly, she creates a positive and supportive learning environment where my son feels encouraged and capable of succeeding.
