Maths teacher of KS3-4 Maths Maths KS3 & GCSE
I enjoy teaching maths and I enjoy seeing and helping students achieve their potential. I like to build a good rapport with my students and I had a form group from year 7-11 who were consistently the best form group in school for the entire time they were at High school. My most treasured possession is the group photo I have of me and my entire form group at their prom evening at the end of year 11 and just before they left for college. Those moments are what makes teaching a pleasure to be a part of. I have been a maths teacher for 18 years and in that time I have taught KS3, KS4 and A-level Maths....

Maths Maths
I have been teaching for the past 12 years and have had a GCSE group year in and year out. I have a record of amazing results especially with new spec which students find particularly difficult. My teaching style is relating stuff to real life so students can easily remember concepts next time. Also, repetition is so paramount when it comes to Maths as practise is the only way you can secure any knowledge.Whatever the topic you are struggling with I have got different ways of explaining it till we get to the point where you actually understand everything. I would also be bringing my personal resources...

Jack R
We’ve had a fantastic experience with Jack as a maths tutor - so far my daughter had three sessions with him. Jack is an excellent communicator and explains concepts clearly and step-by-step, making even the all topics feel manageable. His lessons are well-structured and thoughtfully tailored to my daughter’s needs (we aim for confidence in class and confident GCSE mark).
Jack is also incredibly friendly and positive, which creates a really encouraging learning environment - one of my key requirements. My daughter genuinely enjoys her lessons with him and is already feeling much more confident in her maths curriculum. Highly recommended!

Brilliant Maths GCSE tutors who you’ll really click with.
Our experienced tutors take the time to understand where each student needs to focus and their preferred way of learning. They make a measurable difference – 90% of all students improve by at least one grade.
Can a tutor help my child get the grades needed for Lancaster & Morecambe College?
Absolutely. Many of our tutors are very familiar with the entry requirements for local colleges. They can focus sessions on securing the Grade 4 or 5 in Maths GCSE that is often required, helping your child build the skills and confidence needed to meet those goals.
My child is considering a local apprenticeship. How can a Maths GCSE tutor help?
A strong Maths GCSE is often a key requirement for apprenticeships. A tutor can help your child not only secure the necessary grade but also understand how maths applies to practical, real-world situations, which can make them a much stronger candidate during applications and interviews.
How do I choose the right Maths GCSE tutor for my child?
It’s all about finding the right fit. You can read reviews from other parents, watch introductory videos, and message tutors for free to discuss your child's specific needs before booking. This helps you find someone with the right teaching style to help your child thrive.
What if we don't click with the first tutor?
We want to make sure you have the best possible experience, which is why we offer a first lesson guarantee. If you don't get on with your tutor, email our support team at support@tutorful.co.uk and we will cover your first session with a new tutor.
How much does online Maths GCSE tutoring cost in Morecambe?
Prices vary depending on the tutor's experience and qualifications. You can see each tutor's hourly rate clearly on their profile, allowing you to find an experienced tutor who fits your budget. There are no hidden fees or long-term contracts.
How can a tutor help my child if they've lost confidence in Maths?
This is one of the most common reasons parents come to us. Our tutors create a patient and encouraging environment where your child can ask questions without feeling embarrassed. By breaking down topics and celebrating small wins, they help rebuild self-esteem and show your child they are capable of succeeding.
Are the tutors qualified to teach Maths GCSE?
Yes. We take great care in selecting our tutors. We only accept 1 in 8 applicants, and every tutor is background-checked and vetted by our team to ensure they have the expertise and experience to help your child achieve their academic goals.
How does online tutoring actually work?
It's simple! All your child needs is a laptop or computer with a webcam, a microphone, and a stable internet connection. Lessons take place in our purpose-built online classroom, which includes an interactive whiteboard, video chat, and file sharing to make learning engaging and effective.
How many lessons will my child need to improve their grade?
Every child learns at a different pace, so there's no set number. Many parents find that a regular weekly session helps build momentum and confidence. You can discuss your child's goals with your chosen tutor, and they can recommend a plan that works for you.
Do you only offer academic subjects, or can my child learn other skills?
While we are experts in core subjects like Maths, English and Science, we also have tutors for a huge range of other skills! Whether your child wants to learn to play the guitar, get started with coding, or even learn a new language, we have specialists who can help.
How long is a typical tutoring session?
The most common session length is one hour. This gives enough time to dive into a topic properly without your child losing focus. However, you can arrange different session lengths with your tutor to best suit your child's needs and concentration span.
What makes Tutorful different from other tutoring services?
