Jack R
We’ve had a fantastic experience with Jack as a maths tutor - so far my daughter had three sessions with him. Jack is an excellent communicator and explains concepts clearly and step-by-step, making even the all topics feel manageable. His lessons are well-structured and thoughtfully tailored to my daughter’s needs (we aim for confidence in class and confident GCSE mark).
Jack is also incredibly friendly and positive, which creates a really encouraging learning environment - one of my key requirements. My daughter genuinely enjoys her lessons with him and is already feeling much more confident in her maths curriculum. Highly recommended!

Can a tutor help my child get the grades they need for Paston College?
Yes, absolutely. Many of our tutors are experts in the GCSE curriculum and know what colleges like Paston are looking for. They can help your child focus on the key topics and exam techniques needed to secure a grade 6, 7 or higher, opening up their A-Level choices.
My child wants to study at UEA one day. Can a tutor help them prepare for that level?
Definitely. Building a strong foundation in Maths at GCSE is the first step towards competitive university courses. Our tutors can help your child master the subject now, setting them up for success at A-Level and giving them the confidence and skills needed for future applications to universities like UEA.
How do I choose the right Maths tutor for my child?
You can browse tutor profiles to see their experience, qualifications, and reviews from other parents. Many tutors offer a free video chat so you and your child can talk to them first to make sure it’s a good fit before booking a lesson.
What if my child doesn't click with their first tutor?
We understand that finding the right personality match is important. That’s why we have our first lesson guarantee. If for any reason you feel the first tutor isn't the perfect fit, just email our support team at support@tutorful.co.uk and we will cover your first session with a new tutor.
How much does a Maths tutor in Sheringham cost?

How do online lessons work?
Lessons take place in our purpose-built online classroom. It has an interactive whiteboard, video chat, and file sharing, so your child can work through problems with their tutor just as they would in person. All they need is a laptop or computer and a stable internet connection.
Are all your tutors background-checked?
Yes, your child's safety is our top priority. Every single tutor on our platform has passed an enhanced DBS background check. We are also very selective, accepting only 1 in 8 tutors who apply, so you can be sure your child is in safe, expert hands.
How can a tutor help my child feel more confident in Maths?
Our tutors create a relaxed and encouraging space where your child can ask questions without feeling embarrassed. By breaking down tricky topics into manageable steps and celebrating small wins, they help turn anxiety into confidence and a positive attitude towards Maths.
Do you only offer tutoring for school subjects like Maths?
Not at all! While we have experts for core subjects like Maths, English, and Science, we also have tutors for hundreds of other skills. Whether your child wants to learn to play the guitar, get into coding, or even learn a new language, we can help.
How often should my child have a lesson?
Most families find that one lesson a week is ideal for steady progress and building momentum. However, this is completely flexible. You might want more frequent lessons in the run-up to an exam, or less frequent sessions for a general confidence boost. You can discuss this directly with your tutor.
How long does a typical tutoring session last?
Most lessons are one hour long. This gives enough time to cover a topic in detail without your child losing focus. However, you can arrange different lesson lengths with your tutor if you feel it would be more beneficial.
What makes Tutorful different from other platforms?
