She clearly knows her subject inside out and tailors the lessons and homework excellently, too, often adapting ‘on the go’ -as stuff comes up, that leads to interesting tangents of related learning on the subject. She is really friendly …. and interesting, too, with fascinating life experiences, like living in Ibiza for years with her kids when younger. Highly recommended by me? Yes indeed! Ian always goes out of his way to prepare for every lesson with my daughter. My daughter is disorganised and doesn't prepare very well for every class but Ian is patient and always good humoured enabling Alice to settle, relax and then work hard under his constantly and calmly bringing her back to the task in hand. He is full of praise when it's due and swaps jokes with her to liven up the more dull grammar moments. Ian has adapted well to new impositions that the lockdown has imposed on him and Alice. He is giving Alice extra lessons and is helping her keep up with school work set and typing up her answers in his own time. Alice has a teaching assistant/ scribe at school and between Ian's typing and Alice recording some answers on a phone, she's managing to send some good work back to school so that her teachers know that she is keeping up. Alice and I would like to give Ian a big thumbs up just as he does the same to Alice when she does good work!! Thank you , Ian
