I've personally had Matt for at least a month or two leading up to my History exams for the Tudors and Cold War. I personally initially struggled with sources, interpretations and essays and was getting inconsistent results of a mix between Level 2s to Level 4s before I met Matt. I produced loads of sources, interpretations and essays to my teachers for feedback throughout Y12 and Y13 to account for my personal success. Honestly, because of Matt, I went from Level 2s & 3s and sometimes Level 4s to CONSISTENTLY level 4s and even a cheeky little Level 5 sometimes. Matt explains things clearly and guides you quite nicely to what you need to do to improve. This could be something like how to perform balance in a source / interpretation or nice phrases to use in essays. Honestly Matt, thank you for saving my A Level History grade and allowing me to perform the ACADEMIC COMBACK OF THE CENTURY ?✔ -> At least with History. I'd recommend anyone who does A Level History to work with Matt. Plus the prices are nice too, so its literally a win win. Take it from me as someone who done some research into looking into tutors. i contacted Claire after my daughter had a faulty start to her A levels because of lock down, which resulted in a loss of her confidences. My daughter worked remotely once a week with Claire and found her sessions stimulating and interesting. As a result her grades have improved from an E to a predicted A. Claire has kept me informed of my daughters progresss and has provided interesting materials to supplement her learning. I really could not have wished for a better tutor and I thoroughly recommend her.
