Supported my son with his Graphic design A2 level. Wish we’d found him sooner, he’s made such a difference in such a short space of time, he’s very engaging, knowledgeable, flexible and brought my son out of his shell by being so patient and helpful, nothing was a bother and my son built a great rapport with him. Highly recommend 👌

Lili G
Lili is fantastic and i enjoy listening over the session she has with my son for A Level Graphic Design. She has her work cut out for her as my son is not the most talkative, but she doesn't let this deter her and she continues to try and build the rapport and be relatable to the topic of choice. She's very patient, funny and really probes and questions him further in order to make him think about the direction he wants to go and shares some really good examples of how he can look to explore this further. I can already see a change in him where he is starting to approach things differently and with Lili's help i'm confident over time this will become easier. Another great session.

Candice W
I have only had a couple of classes with Candice so far but I already know chosing her as my tutor was the right decision. I'm getting the sense that she is very good at adjusting to the needs of the individual student; wether it's concerning how to support me in areas I struggle with or knowing what my interests are and providing tasks I would find inspiring. Candice is very encouraging and provides structured classes and assignments so you never feel confused about what is expected of you. She always replies to messages and emails outside of class if you get stuck and need some extra help. I would warmly recommend her to everyone looking for a tutor in the subjects she teaches. Especially if confidence is an issue for you or you would like to improve your performance. Graphic Design was my weakest subject in my first year of A-Levels but now, with her help, I feel like I might actually be able to achieve the grade I want. On top of that the process feels fun and engaging again rather than frustrating and discouraging.

Can a tutor help my child build a portfolio for South Essex College?
Absolutely. Many of our Graphic Design tutors have experience guiding students through college applications. They can help your child select their best work, develop new pieces that meet the course criteria, and present their portfolio professionally to give them the best chance of securing a place.
My child dreams of studying at a top London university like UAL. Can a tutor help with that?
Yes, that's a fantastic goal. Our tutors can provide the expert mentorship needed for such competitive applications. They can help your child develop a highly original and technically skilled portfolio, prepare for interviews, and write a compelling personal statement that showcases their unique creative voice.
What happens if we don't click with the first tutor?
Finding the right fit is the most important thing. We have a First Lesson Guarantee, so if you don't get on with your tutor for any reason, just email our support team at support@tutorful.co.uk and we will cover your first session with a new tutor.
Do you only offer academic subjects, or can my child learn other skills too?
We offer tutoring in over 300 subjects! While we cover all core academic subjects from the 11+ to degree level, we also have brilliant tutors who can teach practical skills and hobbies, like coding, learning the guitar, or even mastering new software.
How do I choose the best Graphic Design tutor for my child?
You can browse tutor profiles to see their experience, qualifications, and read reviews from other parents. With a platform rating of 4.6 stars from over 4,100+ reviews, you can trust their feedback. We recommend messaging a few tutors to discuss your child's goals to find the perfect match.

How do online lessons actually work?
Lessons take place in our purpose-built online classroom. It features a video chat, an interactive whiteboard for sketching ideas, and a simple way to share files and work on projects together in real-time. All your child needs is a computer with a webcam and a stable internet connection.
Can tutoring help my child's GCSE results, even in a creative subject?
Definitely. A tutor can help your child understand the GCSE curriculum inside-out, refine their coursework, and prepare effectively for exams. The discipline and project management skills they learn in Graphic Design are also highly transferable to other subjects. We're proud that 90% of our students improve by at least one grade.
Are the tutors properly vetted?
Yes, your child's safety is our top priority. We are very selective and only accept 1 in every 8 tutors who apply. Every tutor is interviewed, has their ID checked, and undergoes a background check before they can teach on our platform.
How quickly will we see an improvement?
Every child learns at their own pace, but many parents tell us they see a boost in their child's confidence after just a few sessions. Consistent lessons help build skills and knowledge over time, leading to tangible results in their work and grades.
What equipment will my child need for their online lessons?
It's very simple. They'll just need a laptop or desktop computer with a webcam and microphone, and a reliable internet connection. For Graphic Design, their tutor will advise if any specific software is needed for their projects.
How do online lessons actually work?
One-to-one tutoring creates a safe and supportive space where your child is the sole focus. They can ask questions without feeling embarrassed and get positive, constructive feedback. Celebrating small wins and mastering new skills with a dedicated mentor is a huge confidence booster.
