Pete B
Supported my son with his Graphic design A2 level. Wish we’d found him sooner, he’s made such a difference in such a short space of time, he’s very engaging, knowledgeable, flexible and brought my son out of his shell by being so patient and helpful, nothing was a bother and my son built a great rapport with him. Highly recommend 👌

Lili G
Lili is fantastic and i enjoy listening over the session she has with my son for A Level Graphic Design. She has her work cut out for her as my son is not the most talkative, but she doesn't let this deter her and she continues to try and build the rapport and be relatable to the topic of choice. She's very patient, funny and really probes and questions him further in order to make him think about the direction he wants to go and shares some really good examples of how he can look to explore this further. I can already see a change in him where he is starting to approach things differently and with Lili's help i'm confident over time this will become easier. Another great session.

Candice W
I have only had a couple of classes with Candice so far but I already know chosing her as my tutor was the right decision. I'm getting the sense that she is very good at adjusting to the needs of the individual student; wether it's concerning how to support me in areas I struggle with or knowing what my interests are and providing tasks I would find inspiring. Candice is very encouraging and provides structured classes and assignments so you never feel confused about what is expected of you. She always replies to messages and emails outside of class if you get stuck and need some extra help. I would warmly recommend her to everyone looking for a tutor in the subjects she teaches. Especially if confidence is an issue for you or you would like to improve your performance. Graphic Design was my weakest subject in my first year of A-Levels but now, with her help, I feel like I might actually be able to achieve the grade I want. On top of that the process feels fun and engaging again rather than frustrating and discouraging.

My child wants to apply to Leeds Arts University. Can a tutor help with their portfolio?
Absolutely. Many of our Graphic Design tutors are university lecturers, industry professionals or top graduates who know exactly what admissions tutors at competitive universities like Leeds Arts University are looking for. They can provide invaluable guidance on portfolio structure, project selection, and presentation to help your child's application stand out.
How do I choose the right Graphic Design tutor for my child?
It's a personal choice, and we make it easy to find the right fit. You can read detailed tutor profiles, watch introductory videos, and check ratings from other parents. We recommend messaging a few tutors to discuss your child's specific goals for their portfolio or A-Level work before booking.
What if my child doesn't click with their first tutor?
We know that the right student-tutor relationship is key to success. That's why we have our first lesson guarantee. If you don't get on with your tutor, email our support team at support@tutorful.co.uk and we will cover your first session with a new tutor.
Are the tutors background-checked?
Yes, your child's safety is our top priority. Every tutor on our platform must have a valid DBS check and provide references. We personally interview every applicant and only accept 1 in 8, so you can be sure your child is in safe, expert hands.
How much does online tutoring in Leeds cost?
Prices vary depending on the tutor's experience and qualifications, but you can expect to pay between £25 and £50 per hour for a specialist Graphic Design tutor. Tutors set their own rates, and you can filter your search by price to find someone who fits your budget.
How can a tutor help my child build confidence in their creative work?
Sometimes, all a young designer needs is a supportive expert to validate their ideas. A tutor provides a safe space for your child to experiment, ask questions without fear of judgement, and receive constructive, confidence-boosting feedback that helps them find their own creative voice.
We live in Leeds. How exactly does online tutoring work?
It's simple and convenient. All lessons take place in our purpose-built online classroom, which features a video chat, an interactive whiteboard, and screen sharing. This is perfect for Graphic Design, as your child and their tutor can share and work on digital files in real-time. There's no travel involved, saving you time and hassle.
What technology do we need for online lessons?
All you need is a laptop or desktop computer with a webcam, a microphone, and a stable internet connection. Our online classroom is browser-based, so there's no need to download any complicated software.
Do you only offer academic subjects, or can my child learn other skills?
We offer tutoring in over 300 subjects! While we cover all core academic subjects for exams like A-Levels, we also have tutors for music, languages, coding, and a huge range of other skills and hobbies. It's all about helping your child pursue their passions.
Can a tutor help my child with their A-Level grade as well as their portfolio?
Yes, they go hand-in-hand. A tutor can help your child master the specific requirements of their A-Level syllabus, from understanding the assessment criteria to refining exam techniques, all while developing the creative projects that will form their portfolio.
How long is a typical tutoring session?
Most sessions are one hour long, which we find is the perfect amount of time to dive into a topic without losing focus. However, you can arrange different session lengths directly with your chosen tutor to fit your child's needs and schedule.
