Bringing Geography to Life
I have a strong, passionate and extensive interest in History. I believe that rather than it be a stodgy subject full of dates and events, it’s actually a living thing as it’s about people, how they thought what they thought and why they thought it and how all that impacts us today. My specialist interest lies in 19th and 20th Century History particularly the First World War - I visit the battlefields of France and Belgium at least twice a year. It's something I think anyone should undertake at least just once to try and appreciate the magnitude of what took place there - it's a moving experience. I a...

Creative Geography tutor
I am a Royal Holloway, University London graduate with a BA and MA, specialising in arts and humanities. I am very keen to help pupils to learn and fully understand what they might not get in a classroom environment. Whilst at school and even at university, I had one-on-one help and I would not have got the grades if it was not for this extra help. That is why I want to help those who may need the extra help to get the grades they want.I did my A levels at a school as opposed to a college and this gave me the experience to work with the lower parts of the school (junior and senior). I would help...
Lizzie was amazing at helping me with my dissertation on sustainable travel, explaining things clearly and giving really thoughtful corrections and suggestions. Her feedback genuinely helped me improve my work.

Richard H
Richard has been very helpful in the lead up to my A-Level Geography mocks - in 3 sessions we went over potential exam questions for the whole of the physical paper and the way he explains what the question is asking and the concepts within the specification is really useful! The way he teaches makes him easy to understand and to remember what he has said even after leaving the session! I would recommend him to anyone at any level of Geography as he is so clear and encouraging.

The aim is to boost their understanding and exam performance.
My child is worried about fieldwork. Can a tutor help with that?
Absolutely! A tutor can provide guidance and support to help your child prepare for Geography fieldwork, even if it is based around carlisle. They can help them understand the methodology, practice data collection techniques, and learn how to analyze and interpret the results. This can help your child feel more confident and prepared during fieldwork activities.
Can a tutor help my child prepare for Geography A-Level if they want to study at Lancaster University?
