Find an expert A-Level French tutor

I really enjoyed my lessons with Esther! The discussion-based lessons helped me improve my French and expand my knowledge, while also allowing me to practise expressing my ideas in French. Esther was always very helpful and supportive, and I’m really grateful for everything she has taught me. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to improve their French :)

Daughter has been working with Claire for 3 months now for her A Level French. Claire has been amazing and everything is super easy on the app to communicate and change lesson dates when needed. Claire established a good rapport with our daughter from the start. Our daughter provided further glowing feedback: she is ‘low key a normal person’ and ‘helping me improve so much... She’s the first tutor you found that I actually like’.

I have had multiple lessons with Nathalie to aid with my French A-Level and the lessons are super informative, helpful and easy to understand. I have learnt lots of new vocabulary and Nathalie tailors the lessons to my course. My pronunciation has also come on a lot.

I would recommend Sasha to help with A Level French without hesitation. She helped my daughter primarily with her speaking and writing exams. Sasha is friendly and approachable, and built a rapport quickly with my daughter, making her feel comfortable and confident! With the speaking exam, Sasha always prepared thorough and insightful questions to practice a ‘mock’ exam, giving her confidence and improving her analytical skills in French. In regards to the writing, Sasha was able to effectively identify which areas needed improvement the most, with constructive feedback. As a result, my daughter achieved an A* and achieved nearly full marks in the writing paper, and we have no doubt that Sasha’s input very much contributed to this. She is a fabulous tutor, thank you Sasha!!!

Catherine was a super Alevel French tutor. My daughter got a B. Catherine covered some key grammer rules that had been missed and this really helped with daughter’s understanding of the language which she is now studying with Politics at Edinburgh Uni, after a summer being an aupair in France. Merci Catherine!

Rebecca is a fantastic French tutor. She tutored my daughter for A level French - my daughter was sitting on a D grade in year 12 and worked hard with Rebecca and to get an A. Rebecca was patient, organised, encouraging and always thinking of ways my daughter could improve and get better. Her support and kindness and the interest she took in my daughter’s progress was above and beyond expectations. Thank you Rebecca!

Sarah is a lovely tutor who was always friendly and reliable. Over around 9 months she helped me raise my A-level French grade to a C, after consistently working at a D grade in year 12, allowing me to go on to continue my studies at university, which I am very grateful for!

I was looking for a tutor to help me focus on a specific revision skill for my French A-level mock, namely summary writing. Frankie mentioned that students did not ordinarily ask to practise summaries but he was very well prepared with materials tailored to my needs. He guided me through the process step by step and provided examples across a wide range of topics, which helped build my confidence and improve my technique. We also spent one session focusing on French tenses, which was a useful refresher. Frankie was flexible in accommodating my schedule (I only had 5 sessions squeezed in the run-up to my mock exam). He was always prepared, knowledgeable and happy to tailor the sessions to suit my needs. Ideal for anyone looking for focused, effective support with French A-level revision.
