Lucienne is an outstanding teacher, the confidence she has given my daughter in her English is remarkable. My daughter is studying for her GCSE’s she has dyslexia and wasn’t keeping up in lessons at school, we started lessons with Lucienne following disappointing results at the end of year 10 in just 3 months her GCSE mocks are 3 grades higher. I can not praise Lucienne enough, she is so patient and encouraging, her love for English shines through. My son studies with Alice during year 11. He is not a native English speaker and never studied English literature before year 10. Alice was wonderful and helped him with a lot of target exercises and feedbacks on his work. We were able to see his progress once he started to study with her. He was able to get very good grades both in English language and literature.

My daughter has been tutored by Michael since Year 12 and is currently in Year 13. She required some guidance and support with her English Literature A-Level. I wanted to invest in someone highly knowledgeable and competent, experienced, effective yet kind and mindful of the stresses A-Level students are under. Michael has all these skills, along with warm and attentive qualities. He has not only helped my daughter with her knowledge and understanding of the subject but when the pressures of A-Levels became overwhelming, Michael has supported her through caring and counselling words. I am also extremely impressed by Michael's communication with both of us between booked sessions. He regularly checks in with both of us and provides support outside the allocated tutor time. Michael has a clear plan, and lessons are structured to suit my daughter. He is aware of her syllabus, course structure and individual needs. He is professional yet approachable, just what a young person needs when tackling a challenging A-Level. My daughter is looking forward to completing her A-Level English Literature journey with Michael. I cannot recommend Michael highly enough; we are so glad we chose him.
