Megan has recently started tutoring English to my ten year old daughter. I wanted Megan to help improve my daughter’s writing skills as well as to work on other areas in English. Rose is a fantastic tutor! My daughter can not wait for her weekly session, and waits at the window for Rose to arrive. Rose tailor's the session to the school curriculum and my daughter's level, and each week my daughter is developing in reading, writing and maths. Also as a parent I am getting a better idea of what my daughter needs to know, and I am learning ways to help her from the activities Rose carries out with her. Having a tutor that is currently working as a primary school teacher and is well aware of the KS1 curriculum and current developments, reassures me as a parent that my daughter is getting the best tutoring support. Each session is fun and active, and my daughter learns so much. I can see a huge improvement in her confidence and in each of the areas that I have asked Rose to focus on. My daughter has just turned 7 and we are in the final stages of getting her a EHCP in place as she requires more support in school.
I have not previously tried 1-2-1 private tuition with her as the feedback from the school and our own experience is that she can only be kept interested in tasks for 10-15 minutes at a time HOWEVER with Faron she has now had 3 lessons and has remained focus for the full hour on all 3 occasions and seems to genuinely enjoy the lessons. As a parent its fantastic to see.
Faron herself is polite, arrived on time and does spend the full hour working.
