Ben is an amazing tutor, he’s really got my step son who has Asperger’s to engage, lessons are planned and structured, post lesson feedback given which really helps as I can send it over to his mom after his lesson and know what he needs to revise. Definitely a worthwhile investment in my step sons future!

Holly has been tutoring my son in English GCSE for the last half term. He has found the lessons very useful, working in a logical order through the different aspects of the curriculum. Holly is friendly, approachable and encouraging.

Mamun A
My son is really improving since starting lessons with Mamun. From the start of the lesson getting almost all questions wrong to by the end completely understanding it all. Tested him a few days later and he got almost every question right without any help at all he remembered all the punctuation in all questions, shocked how much he's improved from just one lesson on it! Mamun's teaching is brilliant and it really seems to stick in my sons head. Also my son is very fussy with his ASD/ADHD and is often open about his feelings towards people, especially new people most often than not he will say he doesn't like this person because of this or that, but he said he likes his tutor and wants to do more lessons which is brilliant. Mamun is always on time, very patient and explains thoroughly, he gives brilliant feedback afterwards too. Highly recommend this tutor and I'm glad I chose him rather than someone else.

Brilliant English tutors who you’ll really click with.
Our experienced tutors take the time to understand where each student needs to focus and their preferred way of learning. They make a measurable difference – 90% of all students improve by at least one grade.
My child hopes to apply to a competitive sixth form near Bath. Can a tutor help them get the English GCSE grade they need?
Absolutely. We know how much those grades matter. Our English tutors specialise in helping students prepare for their GCSEs, focusing on the specific areas they need to improve. In fact, we find our support can help boost a child's GCSE results by up to two grades, giving them a much stronger application for sought-after A-Level places.
Can an English tutor help my child with their personal statement for universities like Bristol or Bath?
Yes, many of our English tutors have extensive experience helping students craft compelling personal statements. They can help your child structure their thoughts, showcase their strengths, and write with clarity and impact, which is a crucial part of a successful university application.
How do I choose the right English tutor for my child?
It's easy to find the perfect match. You can browse tutor profiles to see their experience, qualifications, and read reviews from other parents. Many tutors also offer a short introductory chat so you can make sure their personality and teaching style are a good fit for your child before booking a lesson.
What if my child doesn't click with their first tutor?
We know how important the right fit is. That's why we offer a first lesson guarantee. If you don't get on with your tutor, email our support team at support@tutorful.co.uk and we will cover your first session with a new tutor.
How much does an online English tutor in Corsham cost?
Our tutors set their own hourly rates based on their experience, so you can find someone who fits your budget. All pricing is shown clearly on their profiles with no hidden fees, so you always know exactly what you'll be paying.
How does online tutoring actually work?
Our online classroom is designed to be simple and effective. It includes a video call, an interactive whiteboard for sharing notes and working through problems together, and a chat function. All your child needs is a computer or tablet with a stable internet connection.
How do I know the tutors are safe and qualified?
Your child's safety is our top priority. We have a strict selection process, accepting only 1 in 8 tutors who apply. Every tutor is background-checked and their qualifications are verified, so you can have complete peace of mind.
How can tutoring help my child feel more confident in English?
Confidence often comes from understanding. In a one-to-one setting, your child has a safe space to ask questions they might not ask in class. A tutor can patiently go over topics until things click, which builds their self-belief and encourages them to participate more at school.
Is tutoring just for school subjects like English?
Not at all. While we help thousands of students with academic subjects from the 11+ right through to degree level, we also have tutors for a huge range of other skills. Whether your child wants to learn to code, play the guitar, or speak a new language, we can help.
What happens in a typical English tutoring session?
Sessions are tailored to your child's needs. A tutor might start by reviewing homework or a recent test, then focus on a specific area like essay writing or understanding a tricky text. They work at your child's pace, ensuring they grasp each concept before moving on.
How quickly can we expect to see results?
Every child learns differently, but consistency is key. Many parents tell us they see a boost in their child's confidence within just a few sessions. Academically, 90% of our students improve their grades by at least one level with regular support.
Can we schedule lessons to fit around our family's schedule?
Yes, that's one of the main benefits of online tutoring. You can see each tutor's availability on their profile and book sessions at times that work for you, whether it's after school, in the evening, or at the weekend, all without leaving home.
