Nadiah is an AMAZING English tutor.
Nadiah is very reliable, organised and efficient, prompting and guiding my son to keep on track outside of sessions aswell. I have had feedback from school after just a few months that the quality of my sons writing has improved significantly and teachers have asked if he has been doing anything different.
My son is also developing more of an interest in the subject which has been really nice to see.

Jeremy B
After the first lesson my son announced “That was amazing Mum, you need to watch the video, he was SUCH a good teacher”. This couldn’t have been more different to previous feedback on our attempts to find an English tutor. I’m delighted that Jeremy is structured in his lessons, but also his tone is very friendly and fun! My 12 year old son has Tourettes and ADHD, and has been quite unwell. It’s also done wonders for my mental health knowing Jeremy is guiding my son through English, after seeing the videos I do not have this skill! 100% recommend him!

Michelle P
Wonderful English Tutor!
Michelle has been an incredible English tutor for our daughter Sarah. She always starts each session with a fun “mind boggle,” which Sarah absolutely loves — it sets such a positive and energising tone for the lesson. From the moment she enters the class, Michelle makes Sarah smile.
Her lessons are interesting, engaging, and thoughtfully planned. Michelle brings a fantastic mix of humour, enthusiasm, and kindness to every session, and it truly shows in Sarah’s enjoyment and progress. She has a wonderful teaching style that keeps Sarah motivated and excited to learn.
We are so grateful for Michelle’s support and highly recommend her to anyone looking for an English tutor who can make learning both effective and fun.
Thank you Michelle.

Josh L
Josh has been tutoring my son for several weeks now. When asking my son what he thought of the sessions she shared that the lessons were varied and he makes it interesting and fun, ( My Son is in year 10 - age 14) We were looking for a tutor to help my son with his English as he had a difficult year last year with his teacher and it became a dread and a stress. Having Josh tutoring him has given him more confidence in the subject. He is keen to have the lesson and always comes down afterwards and shares something good about it. He seems to be progressing well at school and I know these sessions can only be helping with that.

Brilliant English tutors who you’ll really click with.
Our experienced tutors take the time to understand where each student needs to focus and their preferred way of learning. They make a measurable difference – 90% of all students improve by at least one grade.
My child is hoping to get into Sir John Deane's College. Can a tutor help with that?
Yes, absolutely. Many of our tutors are very experienced in helping students secure the GCSE grades they need for entry into specific colleges, including highly-regarded ones like Sir John Deane's. They can focus on strengthening the exact areas of the English curriculum your child needs to master to achieve a Grade 5 or above.
How can a tutor help my child with their GCSE English exams?
Our tutors can provide targeted support to help your child feel prepared and confident for their exams. This could involve breaking down complex texts like 'An Inspector Calls', mastering essay structures, or practising exam techniques. For GCSEs, our support can help students improve by up to two grades.
How do I choose the best English tutor for my child?
Finding the right fit is key. You can read detailed tutor profiles, check their experience, and see reviews from other parents. We recommend sending messages to a few tutors to discuss your child's needs before booking a session. Many also offer a free 15-minute chat to get to know each other first.
What if my child doesn't click with their first English tutor?
We understand that the right personal connection is vital for learning. That's why we have our First Lesson Guarantee. If you don't get on with your tutor, email our support team at support@tutorful.co.uk and we will cover your first session with a new tutor.
How can online tutoring in Middlewich be as effective as in-person?
Our online classroom is designed to be just as effective, if not more so. It includes an interactive whiteboard, file sharing, and video chat, allowing for a dynamic and engaging lesson. Plus, you have access to the best tutors across the UK, not just those who live locally, giving you a much wider choice of specialists.
Are all your tutors background-checked?
Yes, your child's safety is our top priority. Every tutor on our platform has passed an enhanced DBS check and has been personally interviewed by our team. We're very selective and only accept 1 in 8 tutors who apply, so you can be sure your child is in safe, expert hands.
My child has lost their confidence in English. Can a tutor help?
Definitely. A one-to-one tutor can provide a safe and encouraging environment where your child feels comfortable making mistakes and asking questions without fear of judgement. Rebuilding that confidence is often the first and most important step towards improving their grades.
How much does an online English tutor cost?
Prices vary depending on the tutor's experience and qualifications. You can easily filter tutors by price to find someone who fits your budget. There are no hidden fees or contracts – you simply pay as you go for the lessons you book.
How does the online classroom work?
It's very straightforward. All lessons take place in our purpose-built online classroom, which you can access from any device. It features a video chat, an interactive whiteboard for collaborative work, and a document editor, making lessons engaging and easy to follow.
How long are the lessons and how often should we have them?
Lessons are typically one hour long. Most families find that one session per week is ideal for consistent progress, but you can arrange a schedule that works best for your child with their tutor. It's completely flexible to fit around your family's life.
Do you only offer academic subjects, or could my child learn something like guitar or coding?
While we have fantastic tutors for core subjects like English, Maths, and Science, we also offer a huge range of other skills. Your child can learn anything from a new language or a musical instrument like the guitar, to practical skills like coding.
What happens in a typical first lesson?
The first session is usually about getting to know your child. The tutor will chat with them about what they enjoy, what they find difficult in English, and what their goals are. This helps the tutor understand their learning style and create a plan tailored specifically to them.
