Online Chemistry Tutors for Learners in Scottish Borders

I have never used a private tutor before but my 15 year old daughter has started taking additional weekly Nat 5 Chemistry lessons with Ifrah and she has been incredibly patient with her. She checks in with her in relation to what she feels she needs to work on and takes time to understand her learning style, making her feel comfortable and relaxed. The lessons are going really well and my daughter’s confidence is growing through this additional learning. Thanks Ifrah!

Chris is a really patient and knowledgeable A-Level Chemistry tutor. Having been through quitea few chemistry tutors on tutorful before, I settled with Chris as Ifound his style of teaching really worked with me compared to other tutors. Chris' style for me is mainly to focus on understanding the key concepts to ensure I can apply these ideas to the exam effectively, and it is definetely working and I am gaining a lot of confidence very quickly. Uzma tutors my daughter for both A-Level Biology and chemistry. I have found Uzma to be an incredibly impressive tutor, she is dedicated and consistently goes above and beyond to ensure lessons are productive. Uzma has excellent subject knowledge and is very skillful at explaining and teaching how to answer exam questions; her explanations are very clear. She is able to quickly identify a students strengths and weakness and offers tailored support to ensure that both content and exam practice is covered thoroughly. I have seen a clear improvement in my daughter’s performance, her grades are improving. Furthermore, I recommended Uzma to my niece and she’s also very satisfied with her too. My daughter took several lessons with Daanish, and he was very patient and understanding of her needs. Initially, she lacked confidence in chemistry, but with his help, she has gained a lot of confidence and really improved her exam results. Daanish is polite and always prepares ahead of the lessons, focusing on key topics where she needs support.

I have recently started tutoring with Chris and I’ve already seen the jump in my progress, as my chemistry knowledge has improved really well. Chris always adds diagrams or analogies that help better my understanding of the topic! I definitely recommend his teaching!

Bahar is a fantastic tutor and has been teaching my son weekly. Her calm approach along with her ability to explain the most tricky aspects of chemistry has given my son the confidence he needed for his A level and he is now predicted an A.
