She is an interesting and animated tutor, and her enthusiasm and wonder for the subject are both inspiring and infectious. Lessons start promptly, with Holly clearly identifying the individual session’s aims. The Tutorful portal allows Holly to use an interactive whiteboard for diagrams, classwork, and note-taking, and for pinning and examining study materials. She also provides links to relevant third-party websites and video clips. Holly ensures full engagement through practical demonstrations, imaginative exercises and a conversational approach that encourages inquiry and discussion. Frequent intervals for student input, both oral and written, ensure that each concept has been understood. Lessons typically end with a recap and a quiz, and homework is set and marked on a weekly basis. Holly has been an unmitigated pleasure to deal with throughout. My daughter looks forward to her weekly sessions and it is gratifying to note the improvements to her understanding, confidence, and enthusiasm for the subject after each one. I rate Holly’s astronomy tutoring skills at the highest level and recommend her services without reservation.
