I am a guitarist and singer-songwriter recently graduated from Leeds College of Music. I am passionate about making music in any form, whether it’s teaching a group of children, playing with a band, or performing solo. My musical interests are wide, ranging from blues and rock to jazz fusion and big band, and I am particularly influenced by John Mayer, Joe Bonamassa and Stevie Ray Vaughan. I have experience teaching all ages and tailor the learning experience to each student to give the best personal lessons possible, from beginners to more advanced students, and teach many different styles including rock, pop, blues and jazz on either electric or acoustic. Preparation for Rockschool exams undertaken.

I gig extensively across both north and south west of England and have appeared at several festivals including Tramlines in Sheffield and Livestock in Gloucestershire. These have been as a solo act but am now building my blues band and very much hoping to develop the bands’ profile in the coming months. I work as a session guitarist for 2 singer-songwriters based in Leeds and am a dep musician for national shows and productions including ‘Rock and Roll Paradise’. I’m also currently devising a blues based show in conjunction with Beyond Eternity Promotions which I would hope to be able to offer to the summer festival market next year.

Over the last 3 years I have spent my summers coaching on Peter Gill’s Rock Schools for 11 to 18 year olds both in Cheltenham and Canterbury. I also coached young singers and the pit band (including arranging all the music required) working alongside the Everyman Youth Theatre Group in a production of their summer showcase in Cheltenham.

In my final year at Leeds College of Music I undertook modules in both ‘An Introduction to Music Tuition’ (aimed at academic teaching in one-to-one and group contexts), and ‘Music in the Community’ (developing skills in planning and running education projects in the community or a school). I thoroughly enjoyed both of these modules and am starting to put much of what I have learned into practice.
