Bonjour! I am Evelise, your private French/Dutch teacher (QTS).

I was born in Belgium as a native French speaker. After gaining my teaching qualification in Belgium in 2003, I taught Dutch and English in several public schools in French-speaking Belgium. I moved to England in 2008 where I have taught French to a variety of people with different backgrounds since then. I have lived in different places around Merseyside and Chester and I am now settled in Bromborough with my partner Rob.

In 2012, I started ballet dancing and I developed a passion for it. I have a second passion: music. I have been singing and playing bass guitar (self-taught) in a rock band based in Liverpool for about a year now. On top of that, I’m interested in several things: history, cooking, reading, art.

I worked in several companies in Liverpool and Chester as a Customer Service agent, a Service Desk analyst and as an Account Payable associate. I have been working as a self-employed French teacher and translator since January 2018 and have since recently been working as a part-time tour guide in Liverpool.

How I teach

First of all, I listen to my students. I always try to suit my students’ needs by providing them with a flexible schedule and varied learning techniques such as reading articles/books, listening to the news/programs/podcasts, having conversations, vocabulary/grammar exercises.

I offer:
_ Tailor-made French lessons for adults, teenagers or children - at all levels
_ Business French
_ French for holidays
_ French for students
_ Help with revising for your French exam
_ Vocabulary building
_ Grammar
_ Skills: listening, speaking, writing and reading activities.
_ Dutch lessons for beginners.

I can travel by car in Wirral, Chester, Liverpool (centre) and Ellesmere Port.
We can also meet in my home, in Bromborough.

I am currently available for 1-2-1 on:
Monday 8 a.m.-12p.m. and 2 p.m.-7 p.m.
Tuesday 8 a.m.-6:30 p.m.
Wednesday 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
Thursday 3:30-4:20 p.m.
Friday 8 a.m.-4:45 p.m.
More availability during the Easter break on 4th and 5th of April daytime and on 11th and 12th of April daytime and some Saturdays and Sundays.

Please ask.

A bientôt !
Evelise
