Paul is a highly experienced History teacher with twenty-four years experience in teaching GCSE and A level History Paul is a passionate and enthusiastic teacher who seeks to engage students at all levels. Subject specialisms include Medicine and Health through Time and the American West. Paul has also extensive experience of teaching Modern World History at GCSE with particular relevance to the Cold War; Britain 1890-1918 and the First World War. Paul's knowledge of the First World War is so extensive that he has acted as a Battlefields guide as well as group leader on study trips.
‘A’ level teaching: Paul has taught 20th C German History for over twenty years including the Weimar Republic, The Third Reich and post war East and West Germany. Paul has also taught the Changing Nature of Warfare 1795-1945 for six years. British History experience includes The English Revolution. Paul specializes in teaching the skills of documentary analysis using sources at both GCSE and A level.
Paul recently created a series of resources on the Vietnam War for his previous school and he has been working as a private tutor since last year.
