My passion and enthusiasm for teaching was ignited through a volunteering project in South Africa in 2008. During this fulfilling experience I taught children ages 4 to 13 years in two rural, deprived, Zulu schools which gave me confidence to adapt in challenging situations and a desire to teach and work with young people. Since then my interest in teaching has developed through working in both primary and secondary schools. These experiences have taught me how successful teaching needs to be flexible and personalised to cater for and develop all pupils. Therefore, I strongly believe in a pupil centred approach to teaching where individual differences are recognised and tailored for.
I have now had 8 years experience working in education. Over the last few years I have taught in Year 2, 3 and 4. In addition to this, my role as a Cover Teacher and Intervention Teacher has given me experience in every year group in the Primary phase. I am happy to teach any Primary School subjects.
If you have any questions, please send me a message, I am more than happy to help! I look forward to hearing from you!
Please note, I have just moved from England to Wales and I do not speak Welsh (sorry for any inconvenience).
