I have recent experience as a Cover Supervisor working for Valleys Education where I was responsible for working with and managing pupils in a classroom environment to cover staff absence. As a Cover Supervisor, I was often contacted at short notice to cover the absence of teaching staff on both a short term and longer term basis. I had to be flexible as work schedule could vary from day to day. This involved either delivering set material to pupils as set by teachers or sourcing suitable material by liaising with Head of Department Staff. I would have to follow the instructions on the material and then deliver to the rest of the class successfully.
As a self-employed Tutor I worked with individuals on who wanted to learn Welsh on a beginner’s level or those undertaking GCSE or A Level qualifications; I delivered lessons in customer’s homes. It was paramount that I managed each individuals learning on a basis specific to their needs and planned lessons and resources on an individual basis. Where appropriate, I adapted resources and lesson structures to encompass any learning barriers such as Dyslexia and set regular homework to evaluate learning.
In terms of my educational achievements, I graduated in 2013 with a BA Hons Degree in Professional Welsh and TESOL from the University of South Wales and also have 3 A’ Levels and 8 GCSE’s.
Lessons with Shelley are very engaging and helpful. She asks you if you find anything difficult and if so, works on it with you until the topic is fully understood. She also goes through grammar and is very thorough -im very pleased to have chosen her as my Welsh tutor. Thanyou Shelley!
Shelley is an excellent tutor, explains things very well, my daughter enjoys the lessons and feels she has greatly improved in the few weeks since lessons started, would definitely recommend her.
