As an aspiring primary teacher, I believe that it is salient to get a variety of experience. I currently study BA English Language and Literature (level 5) and completed my Certificate of Higher Education in English Literature and Education Studies. I received an average of 64%, which is an equivalent to a 2:1. I hope to continue at this standard for the remainder of my degree.
Although I have an interest in Education Studies, I changed course to broaden my passion for English Language, in particular accents. This will enhance my English Literature skills, making my teaching more specialist. Additionally, the material covered when completing a PGCE shall prepare me for gaining QTS.
Previously, I have gained experience working with children from early years to KS2, either through university placement or organising it independently. Over summer, I spent a month working alongside primary teachers, teaching a range of subjects. I thoroughly enjoyed it! It consolidated my hope to be a primary teacher.
Ultimately, I would like to gain tutoring experience so I can give students confidence to achieve their best. This is my main priority, as I believe all children should have the opportunity to flourish. I hope I can provide students with excellent tutoring, and a genuine interest in English!
Very lovely, patient, knows what she's doing, very punctual. Right girl for the job I can't fault her at all.
