Being a pianist for about 20 years, my teaching experience began in 2010 while studying at the Athenaeum Conservatory in Athens, Greece, under Nelly Semitekolo. I have been working as a private tutor since receiving my Diploma in classical piano in 2013, and seeking to further develop my skills, I am attending a Bachelor of Music course at Edinburgh Napier University, where I am studying under Simon Coverdale.
As a private tutor for a number of years, I have had the opportunity to work with people from a variety of backgrounds, age and skill levels. Tutoring musicians whose principal instruments are strings or winds and have to achieve intermediate level in piano studies in order to complete their own, has really helped shape my confidence in approaching every student according to their background and needs.
Teaching young children and adults the joy of learning the piano from scratch has been such a rewarding process and I am thankful for the opportunity to work with people from all levels of experience.
I am a determined tutor, with a calm manner and approach to each student's abilities and potentials. Each lesson is tailored to the student's needs, whether heading towards exams or simply want to improve skills.
I am more than happy to commute to your house, or if you don't have access to an instrument, I can provide lessons at home on my digital keyboard. Please feel free to message me with any questions.
Artemis has been teaching piano to my 9 year old daughter for a number of months now and is excellent. She tailors her lessons to my daughter’s abilities, needs and interests. She is very enthusiastic and professional. I would recommend her wholeheartedly!
Artemis has been tutor for our ten year old son for some weeks now and we couldn't be happier. She is extremely reliable and punctual and is a fantastic teacher.
Our son is very much enjoying his lessons and can't wait for them to come round.
We have no hesitation in giving our highest recommendation.
