I have a Master of Science degree in Educational Psychology and Instructional Technology as well as my Bachelor of Science in Education. I obtained my degrees and California Multiple Subject Teaching credential from the University of Southern California. I also have GATE (Gifted and Talented Education) and CLAD (Crosscultural, Language, and Academic Development) certifications. This means I specialize in meeting each individual student's needs, interests, and abilities.
My passions involve literacies - social, digital and anything book-related! I am a tech-savvy Google Certified Innovator with successful experience teaching 21st Century Skills to learners and teaching teachers to integrate technology in their classrooms. I was an International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme Coordinator and an Extended Essay advisor for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. I loved my time spent as the school librarian in international schools as well as having my own classroom in public and charter schools. I also have a journalism and writing background and have published newspapers with students.
I have enjoyed working with teachers, parents, and students of all ages and backgrounds throughout the United States, China, Germany, Italy, Myanmar, South Korea, and Vietnam. I am American but I'm married to a British national so I have knowledge of both variations of English and the different curriculum. I see myself as an international 'world citizen.'
I have more than a decade of experience working in schools all over the world, in-person and remotely. I am currently available for both methods of teaching. Please contact me with any questions - curiosity is welcomed! I look forward to teaching and learning with you.
