I am a qualified teacher with 6 years of experience.
I am passionate about education and instilling a love of learning in others.
Since graduating with a teaching qualification, I have taught in Years 3, 5 and 6. Three years after qualifying as a teacher, I was promoted to a leadership role, in which I coordinated the subjects of Science and Computing.
I am also a member of Mensa and specialise in tutoring for entrance exams, SATs preparation and 11+.
I enjoy tutoring privately as I can tailor my approach to meet each child's specific needs. In my first lesson with your child, I will carry out an initial assessment so I have a good understanding of your child's strengths and weaknesses in the specified subject. I can then use my knowledge of the National Curriculum to plan lessons that will help your child make improved progress.
It is also important to me that the lessons are both educational and enjoyable. I want your child to feel confident and comfortable so that they are happy to ask questions and discuss their ideas freely. With this in mind, I ensure that I use varied activities tailored to your child's interests wherever possible.
Together, we can achieve outstanding results!
Being 51 and never having learnt computer skills but looking for a new role in my career i needed to up skill myself. This was daunting for me then I found Julianne after just three lessons I can now put together a power point presentation and am moving onto excel. Julianne is excellent and patient, punctual, and knowledgeable.I have a new found confidence and not scared anymore. I would honestly recommend Julianne to anyone of any age wishing to learn new skills.
Julianne is excellent, polite, friendly, punctual, supportive and approachable teacher.
Our daughter really looks forward to her sessions with Julianne as she make the sessions fun but educational using simply language to ensure our daughter fully understands. We are now seeing the major benefits of her great teaching.
