Hello, I am Cristina, a 20 years old Film and International Relations student at the University of Aberdeen. I was born and raised in Italy, therefore I am a native Italian speaker. Moreover I am fluent in both English and Spanish and I have studied French at school for nine years.
I have experience in teaching English to non native speakers as I spent my past summer au pairing in Spain. There, I was living with a local family and teaching English to their kids aged 7, 10 and 12. When working with kids I usually try to motivate them to learn by combining the subject, or the language, I am teaching them with things they like to do. For example, I like to use music and films to teach kids a foreign language as that keeps them interested and they are less likely to get bored. I like to establish a friendly relationship with the people I am teaching to and I am a very nice and patient person as well as very precise.
Apart from having been an au pair teaching English to Spanish kids I also have experience in teaching ballet to both kids and beginner adults.
Because I have studied mainly foreign languages for the last five years of school, I also have a knowledge of
English and French literature as well as Italian literature. Furthermore, I took English literature and Spanish classes during my first year at University.
I offer one-to one and group classes at either your or my home and I am available on both the afternoons and on weekends. As an Italian native speaker I can offer classes to student of all levels, as for the other languages I offer classes for, I can teach all of them at a primary level and at a slightly higher level for Spanish.
