I'm an experienced filmmaker and scriptwriter with full confidence in my comprehensive knowledge of my subjects. I excelled during my education, gaining a Film Studies A-Level (Grade A), a Film and Video Degree (Grade First), and a Scriptwriting Masters (Grade Merit). I've written, directed and produced a number of independent films that have gained multiple nominations and awards, helped organise and script edit popular theatrical events and online web series', and gained corporate work as a videographer, document writer, editor and proofreader. I've taught essay and script writing skills to Film and Video and Media Degree students, assisted at script development classes at the University of South Wales for third-year Scriptwriting Degree students, but most commonly I've home tutored English and Film Studies at the GCSE level. I've built a lasting group of students, having quickly developed strong bonds with them thanks to my affable personality, and igniting an enthusiasm for their subjects within them that their teachers were unable to, greatly increasing their knowledge and understanding and helping them boost their grades. I've significantly vast experience of teaching Of Mice and Men, Romeo and Juliet, and descriptive and persuasive writing. I've also educated vulnerable people, having been a trusted employee at Innovate Trust for over three years, training individuals with learning difficulties to operate successfully in the work environment.
My senior filmmaking positions and my tutoring experience have taught me the importance of relaying information with care and consideration in a straightforward, understandable manner. I take great joy in imparting knowledge and developing students' passion for subjects I care so much about. My friendly nature and vast experience make me an ideal tutor of English, Film Studies, and Scriptwriting. I can easily travel within a 5-mile radius, but I'm willing to negotiate further distances, and the freelance nature of my work means I'm very flexible as to days and times. I look forward to hearing from future students and friends!
