I am 58 and have spent most of my working life caring for children and young people. My education in Maths went up to Degree level at Sheffield University. My experience of tutoring is informal and relies on my interpersonal skills with young people. I take a person centred approach developed when achieving a Certificate in Counselling to address issues identified by the student.
I believe everyone can do Maths and my approach to those who struggle is to identify their blocks with students and to install the confidence to overcome them. Once a student becomes familiar, comfortable and flexible with basics that have been holding them back I find they can make positive strides on their own.
really friendly .. daughter struggles in maths and is also dyslexic . he is very patient and my daughter loves lessons with him . she says they are fun
William goes out of his way to make sure you are happy with your lessons. Nothing is too much trouble for him and he makes you feel as ease with anything you need or want to learn. He explains things clearly and allows you to ask any questions as you go through the lesson .
Really lovely guy, reassuring manner, my son really took to him. Boosted his confidence straight away.
