I specialised in Histopathology (the study of cells and tissues) and worked as a Specialist Trainee in this field for 6 years. I decided to have a career change and re-trained as a teacher, attaining a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) specialising in Biology, a few years ago.
