The simple truth is it’s never too early to start thinking about your career.

As early as pre-school age, lifelong passions for a subject can be ignited! After all, if you are to become an Olympic swimmer, this often starts with fun in the swimming pool with the family at the weekend. On the other hand, many people have lots of different passions and pursue a number of different careers throughout their lives.

It’s worth bearing in mind that entry into many careers can depend on gaining certain GCSEs and A Levels, so it is essential to do as much brainstorming and research as possible before getting to GCSE stage.

During secondary school years, you can start exploring what high-demand jobs might look like but also get a feel for what you might like to do in the future.  And if you’re not sure what you want to do yet, that’s also okay! There is plenty of time to make your mind up!
