When it comes to resources that can help, there are plenty of options available.

Youth Employment

Youth Employment UK is a leading organisation supporting young people in the UK aged 16-24 into employment. They offer free training resources, skill building activities and career ideas and advice.

UCAS

From guides about specific sectors and industries, to help finding what career matches your personality type, UCAS is a great resource to help young people start to explore their options.

Prospects

Prospects offer careers advice, jobs and ideas on how to get work experience and help with applying for university for young people.

National Careers Service

The National Careers Service website enables you to choose from over 800 career profiles to discover what a job involves.

One final thought is to remember that enjoyment is the key to success in anything. Many people change careers in their lifetime, so encourage your children to think of lifelong learning and development and enjoyment as key. After all, anything they learn now will help with transferable skills and qualities in the future.
