How can extracurricular activities help to shape your child’s future?

There are also lots of different ways to get into different careers – and university is not always the best or only way in. 

Participating in extracurricular activities can provide students with a number of work experience benefits including the development of many skills needed for jobs. First and foremost, it can help to develop new interests. 

It can be difficult to know if you will like a job without actually doing it. You might think that you would enjoy a certain type of work, only to find that it’s not for you. The benefit of work experience is that it teaches you what you like and dislike about work. You might find that a job you thought would be boring is actually quite interesting. That’s why work experience for 16-year-olds or younger is so important. It gives you a chance to try out a job and see if it’s something you would like to do on a full-time basis.
