South Yorkshire Aircraft Museum
Discover the fascinating world of aircraft and history of flight. Find out about the early pioneers who flew at the first air race in 1909 at Doncaster Race course. Learn about the experiences of people in Sheffield in the first and second World Wars, whilst exploring the original WW2 R.A.F buildings. Some cockpits are avavilble to sit in as well as a dressing up room and quizzes avavailable. We have special event days where lots of Cockpits are opened and avavilble to enter. We have a small coffee shop wher you can purchase hot and cold drinks as well as Ice creams,crisps, cakes and chocolate bars. Please feel free to bring along a picnic that can be eaten in our tea room or outside on the picnic tables. We also have a well stocked model shop.

Seasonal Opening Hours

We open every day during local school holidays and all Bank holidays, except CHristmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day. We clost at 4pm in Winter.
