Welcome to Short Story Camp. Our first session will be a research and planning session. Students will be shown a range of places where they can get their short stories, poems and other works published. We will use the submission guidelines of a number of these publications to assist the students in coming up with ideas to work on in camp.

This will primarily be a writing session where we will support each other in a workshop style environment, helping support each student to hone and craft their ideas. By the end of this session students should have made a good start on their story.

Endings: this session will look at effective short story endings and inspire the students to come up with an engaging ending for their short story. Through a workshop style, we will edit our work together before concluding by reminding students where they wish to submit their works and checking that the guidelines for submission have been met.
