Learning python is an essential step in starting your independent coding journey. This class covers the basics (list and data types) and algorithmic structures (if statements, loops and functions). With these tools, the goal is to build a program that can crack Morse code.
21st Jul - 25th Aug
12:30pm - 1:30pm
Weekly on Thursdays
6 sessions total
60 mins
Learning basic data types such as strings, lists, and numbers and how we can manipulate them.
60 mins
Learning the special data type which we will use in our challenge: Dictionaries.
60 mins
Get introduced to algorithmic structures such as if statements, for loops and exceptions
60 mins
Learn the concept of function and build our first python function!
60 mins
Using all the tools we learnt, create a plan to code a python program that cracks Morse code. Start implementing the plan and try to work on it independently during the week.
60 mins
Continue working on the python program in order to finish it. Ask any questions that were encountered during the independent work.
