This week will be an introduction to the class as well as covering the principles of electoral systems and an overview of the types of different electoral systems.

This week we'll be deep-diving into first past the post, and all its advantages and disadvantages and compare it to the other systems.

In this session, we'll look at direct democracy and how it's practiced in the UK.

Exam question time! At the end of week 3, students will be set an exam question to write on their own which we'll go through this week as well as a few more questions to ensure that they will be fully confident for their exam!
