This is a class for all those budding game designers and animators out there. Learn to code using Scratch and the possibilities are endless.

Class content
Session 1
60 mins
We will explore Scratch as a platform, introducing children to the basics of how to use Scratch. We will also talk about algorithms and how we use them. If time allows, we will tinker with some programs.
Session 2
60 mins
We will recap what we learned last week and practice creating some new sprites and getting them to move in different ways. We will also look at creating stages.
Session 3
60 mins
We will start to use repeat commands and start to tinker with and possibly create a basic game.
Session 4
60 mins
We will combine all the skills we've learned so far into children making an independent project of their choice.

About me
I'm a qualified and experienced primary school teacher, currently working in Year 5. Though I can teach all primary years. I'm also happy to teach adults who need primary level knowledge.

How do Tutorful Classes work?
What is a small group class?
- A class is a series of live lessons held online with up to 9 other similarly aged students and a single tutor.
- The class will be tailored to the interests and needs of the students.
- Our group classes are all held online in our learning space.
How does it work?
- Select a class that interests you and then book your place.
- You will be sent an email with all the relevant information about the class.
- You will be able to join your online sessions via your dashboard.
