Guitar: Learn to play your first song!
A beginner's guitar class for children aged 7-11. Learn the basics of the guitar from identifying all the different string names to playing your first chord to playing a whole song by yourself! This class will give you the foundation to learn your new instrument in a fun and interactive way

Class content
Session 1
60 mins
In our introduction lesson, students will become acquainted with their instruments. We will cover how to hold the guitar, the parts of the guitar, string names of the guitar and how to play their first riff.
Session 2
60 mins
Once comfortable with our instrument, lesson 2 will focus on learning what chords are, how to play them, and identifying the difference between major and minor chords.
Session 3
60 mins
By lesson 3 students will understand the fundamentals of chords and we will begin to learn our first song! Students will pick from a list of fun but challenging songs to practice playing.
Session 4

By lesson 4 students will be able to play chords but everyone knows a real guitarist should also be able to riff! So in this lesson, we will learn what scales are and how to play a pentatonic scale in preparation for the skills needed to play a super cool guitar riff.
Session 5
60 mins
In lesson 5 students will learn how to play a famous guitar riff using the skills they've acquired since our very first lesson.
Session 6
60 mins
Lesson 6 our final lesson will put together all the skills learnt in our class to be able to play our final song which will consist of both chords and riffs. In this lesson, you will officially become a guitarist!
