Grammastronauts: Space SPaG Hunt

Year 5 and 6 spelling punctuation and grammar targets meet space rescue mission. Students become Grammastronauts, tasked with solving SPaG-related clues in order to find the missing Captain Questa.

Session 1

Friday 22nd October at 3:45 PM 60 mins

Mission Prep - Captain Questa of the Spaceship Explora has gone missing. Her last transmission: a garbled message indicating that she has gone to ground on an alien planet. In this first session the Grammastronauts will prepare for the mission and figure out what planet she's on using a series of grammar, spelling, and punctuation clues.

Session 2

Friday 29th October at 3:45 PM 60 mins

Rescue - After landing on the alien planet where Questa's gone missing, the Grammastronauts take on more fiendish spelling, grammar and punctuation challenges in order to track her down.

Session 3

Friday 5th November at 3:45 PM 60 mins

Disaster? - The Grammastronauts realise that finding Questa was only the beginning and now face their toughest obstacle. Using their SPaG skills can they save the day?

Session 4

Friday 12th November at 3:45 PM 60 mins

Mission Report - Hopefully all astronauts will have safely made it back to Earth with Captain Questa, and they will now deliver Mission Reports, cataloguing what they have achieved and putting all their SPaG knowledge together.

How do Tutorful Classes work?

What is a small group class?
  1. A class is a series of live lessons held online with up to 9 other similarly aged students and a single tutor.
  2. The class will be tailored to the interests and needs of the students.
  3. Our group classes are all held online in our learning space.

  2. You will be sent an email with all the relevant information about the class.
