Do you want to gain an ABRSM music theory qualification? Have you ever wanted to understand the workings of music? Then look no further. This series of ten classes will go through the concepts of grade 4 music theory step by step. These classes are taught by myself a highly qualified music teacher with a MA in music composition. Classes will be fun, informative and interactive. I will go through concepts workbooks and past papers to prepare you for the ABRSM music theory exams ensuring a thorough understanding and confidence in the subject. These classes are not only great for passing your theory exams but are perfect for revision for both GCSE and A-Level students who want to brush up on their music theory.

The first session will be an introduction to the class and what we will be studying across the lessons. We will then cover and recap over past topics from previous grades.

For the second session we will recap over past topics from previous grades.

For the third session we will be covering breves, double dots, regular time signatures and duplets.

For the fourth session we will be covering double sharps flats and enharmonic equivalents.

For the fifth session we will cover scales, keys and the cycle of fourths.

For the sixth session we will be covering intervals and diatonic scales.

For the seventh session we will be covering chords and triads on the Tonic, Subdominant and Dominant.

For the eighth session we will be covering chromatic scales and applying skills from past sessions to a workbook.

For the ninth session we will be looking through a past paper and covering exam technique.

In the final session we will look through past papers as well as how to enter yourself in for the exam and cover any topics that students wish to recap.
I'm an Instrumentalist/Composer/Arranger/Educator. I have an MA in composition and BA from LIPA (dis/1st). I have studied under luminaries of the British Music scene. Suitable for anything in the industry and can help with a wide range of topics.
