This class is for GCSE maths students. Those who want to know how to use vector notation and then answer exam questions with geometric arguments and proofs. Subsequent lessons will consider congruence and transformations, including similar shapes and negative scale factors
Monday 31st January at 7:00 PM 60 mins
Specific exam questions will be demonstrated, adding and subtracting vectors, multiply a vector by a scalar, calculate the magnitude of a vector and use of geometric arguments and proofs. Considering how to answer questions and achieve maximum marks.
Monday 7th February at 7:00 PM 60 mins
This lesson will identify how to recognise congruent and similar shapes, and know how to state the criteria that congruent triangles satisfy. Specific exam questions will be demonstrated to solve problems involving similar shapes in both area and volume.
Monday 14th February at 7:00 PM 60 mins
Can you identify reflections, rotations, translations, and enlargements? This lesson will demonstrate the trickiest exam questions which include multiple transformations, negative scale factors, and vector movement. Knowledge will be crucial towards achieving the best grades at GCSE.
