This class is focused on helping students to understand what we mean when we say 'analyse the effect of the language'. It will help students understand how to figure out the effect of a word by using connotations, and how to use this information to create a written analysis of language in a text.

Hello! I am a fully qualified and experienced teacher for KS3, GCSE and A Level English. I have been teaching since 2015, and I have worked with a wide range of exam boards in schools and through private tuition.


How do Tutorful Classes work?

What is a small group class?
  1. A class is a series of live lessons held online with up to 9 other similarly aged students and a single tutor.
  2. The class will be tailored to the interests and needs of the students.
  3. Our group classes are all held online in our learning space.
How does it work?
  1. Select a class that interests you and then book your place.
  2. You will be sent an email with all the relevant information about the class.
  3. You will be able to join your online sessions via your dashboard.
